St Neots Regatta 2023

On Saturday 22 / Sunday 23 July, 56 Otters descended on the beautiful (albeit slightly damp) banks of the River Great Ouse for St Neots Regatta, one of our favourite events of the year.

With 28 entries across the weekend, there were some fantastic performances from crews from all squads, including many Novices who had their first experience racing.

The highlight of the weekend was for our OpMasB. 2X- (Jack D and Luke B) and Op. 4X- (Jack D, Luke B, Toby C and Phil H) who both walked away with pots after triumphing against the competition in multiple gruelling rounds. Massive congratulations! I also heard a few casual awards from the commentators for ‘best facial hair’ and ‘fastest boating’... so we’ll take that too!

As a highlight in our yearly rowing calendar, it was fantastic to see so many Otters taking part and getting involved in a brilliant weekend of rowing.

A huge thank you to St Neots RC for hosting us and putting on an awesome weekend of rowing (not to mention a top-notch Saturday evening disco) and we look forward to the next one!
