Team App instructions
Signing up
Download ‘Stack Team App’ from the Apple App Store or Google Android Store.
Open the app and select ‘Continue with email’. Complete the signup process.
You will be asked if you want to join a team. Search for ‘London Otters’ and select it.
In the app's home page, tap where it says ‘Review your access to this app’.
Select the relevant squad and type any old message you like in the box. Then tap ‘Send’.
You will then be asked to complete further information. Only the asterisked fields are compulsory, although please feel free to complete as much information as you like. British Rowing membership is especially useful. You will probably also find that you need to change your birthday because you were only asked your birth year during the initial signup process.
You will then need to wait for the access request to be approved, which the club administrator will do ASAP.
Repeat the access request process for any further squads of which you are a member. For example, you might be a cox and/or coach as well as a rower. The club administrator will also approve these requests ASAP.
Updating availability
To update your availability, tap ‘Availability’ then select the relevant squad.
You can toggle view between calendar and list using the icon in the top right of the screen, depending on how you prefer to see the sessions.
To indicate availability for each session you should tap the date, then tap to reply.
Please do not select ‘Maybe’; this is a feature of the app that we cannot remove but it is obviously no use for planning outings!
By tapping ‘Subscribe’ you can import session appointments into your preferred calendar.
You will receive push notifications from time to time, reminding you to update your availability for relevant sessions.
Availability should be finalised by 9 pm on Thursday of each week before the weekend's sessions, or as instructed by your squad captain(s). This gives squad captains and coaches sufficient time to plan crews. Any changes after this time can cause big headaches.
Viewing crew lists
Tap ‘Crew Lists’ in the app. Each squad will have a separate entry each week (although not all squads use Team App for crew lists).
You will receive a push notification when a crew list for your squad has been announced.
Viewing documents
Erg schedules, safety information and other useful documents are uploaded in the ‘Useful Docs’ section.
News, events and payments
Some sessions (e.g. cross-squad outings) or other events will be found through Events rather than Availability. We also sometimes manage payment for things like race fees through Payments.
We do not at present use these features very much, although ad hoc invoicing, e.g. race fees, is usually managed through the "Payments" section.
