Poplar Regatta 2026

On Sunday 17 May, we descended on our home turf at the Royal Albert Dock for the annual Poplar Regatta. It was a beautiful, bustling day of racing, though a tough 15+ mph westerly headwind definitely kept everyone on their toes!

The Otters showed up in full force with 15 crews and 42 rowers competing in a massive field that drew 47 clubs and schools from all over the country. A special congratulations goes to our Senior A boat, who locked down a brilliant 2nd place in their first heat to secure a well-deserved spot in the final.

It was amazing to see a huge crowd of Otters on the bank providing loud support throughout the day. Watching such a successful, vibrant event come together has definitely inspired us as we think about running our own regatta in the near future!
